Let’s be honest: it’s an Amanda Dykes book. So I already knew it would be outstanding. And then, once I knew it was set in my beloved Colorado Rockies, I expected that it would be doubly outstanding.
I was wrong–it was far more amazing and beautiful and deeply, poignantly, intricately truthful than I could have ever anticipated!!!
This book has it all–a true “friendship for the ages,” a legend of a lovable lost train, riddles to solve on a race-against-time treasure hunt, a town where I quite frankly want to live, and characters whose quirks and hurts and humor will linger in your memory. If you read no other book this year…read this one!!! RUN, don’t walk, to get a copy!
